You will be working in a leading CRO that is looking for numerate and logically minded candidates to work in the SAS Programming department. They have various levels and there are prospects for career progression in the organisation.

Our clients are flexible and open to candidates who would be looking to predominantly work from home anywhere in the EU depending on the level of experience and if there is a proven track record.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SAS PROGRAMMER

-Responsible for the coding and execution of study level programs for analysis data sets, tables, figures and data listings on a per program basis
-Must have experience of program development of standard data types such as demography, prior/concomitant medication, adverse events, vital signs, ECH, laboratory data, terminations for studies
- Must have experience of program development of efficacy data for studies
- Assist in the planning of study level program development for a study
- Assist in determining the validation strategy for a study
- Designs the structure and format of analysis data sets, tables, figures and data listings
- Liases with Data Management staff on database creation, edit check specifications, data quality and query resolution.
- Maintenance of professional currency through literature reviews, membership of professional bodies and attendance at scientific meetings and appropriate courses.

SENIOR SAS PROGRAMMER

In addition to SAS Programmer:-

- Responsible for the planning, development and execution of project level programs
- Must have experience of managing projects comprising multiple studies
- Must ensure the accuracy of all project/study level output.
- Liaison with Clients on specifications (eg transfer of data to clients)
- Develops, maintains and validates standard data structure and software.
- Designs and writes standard departmental macros that are maintainable, supportable, well-documented programs that are user friendly and accessible.
- Monitors procedures for program development and validation.
- Maintenance of a position of respect within the industry (eg presentation at scientific meetings)
- Assists in the training of statisticians and programmers and ensures the development of data analysis skills.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline and SAS programming experience
- Relevant Master's degree in a quantitative or scientific discipline and SAS programming experience
- Relevant Ph.D in a quantitative or scientific discipline and SAS programming experience
- Advance SAS Certification
- Familiarity with multiple software products and platforms is required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills as well as the ability to work independently and on a team.
- Understanding of data structures, software development life cycle and their implementation.
- Ability to serve as department representative at client meetings
- Good problem solving skills, attention to detail, verbal and written communications skills.
