Pfizer names senior VP of Investor Relations

US drugmaker Pfizer has said that the new senior vice-president of Investor Relations is to be former Forest Laboratories executive Charles Triano.
The New York-based pharmaceutical company has appointed Mr Triano to the post, which will include responsibility for all investor relations functions, and he will take over this position from June 23rd.
Chief financial officer Frank D'Amelio, who Mr Triano will report to, said the company is "pleased" to welcome the new senior vice-president.
Mr D'Amelio continued: "As a seasoned investor relations executive
he brings a deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and its regulatory environment combined with extensive investor relations experience, which will continue to strengthen our relationship with the investment community and our shareholders."
Previously, Mr Triano also worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb as the director of Investor Relations.
In related news, Pfizer has also appointed Dr Ronnie Green as the new senior director of Global Technical Services in the Animal Genetics division.
