03 Dec 2008
AkzoNobel has been given approval to supply coatings for the redesign of showrooms operated by vehicle manufacturer Iveco.
The company will supply a special effect powder coating designed specifically for the project that will be used on the signage and exterior components of more than 2,000 showrooms.
AkzoNobel Global Image Solutions, which arranged the deal, was established by the firm almost a year ago to provide different coatings products from across the firm's portfolio.
"This approval represents further success for a growing business which offers a convenient one-stop shop to customers," commented Leif Darner, the AkzoNobel board member with responsibility for performance coatings.
AkzoNobel is a major international supplier of speciality chemicals and claims to be the worlds largest paints and coatings company.
The firm's headquarters are located in Amsterdam and it has a workforce of around 60,000 employees who are based across more than 80 countries.
