Develop systematic reviews, *bridging analyses*, and support materials for use in submissions to market access organisations and by sales teams with cost-sensitive NHS customers
Develop formulary displacement strategies to be used by external formulary advocates to obtain advantageous listing for our Brands utilising a variety of data sources (e.g. audit, clinical trials, economic evaluations, etc.)
Manage outsourcing of outcomes research projects

Develop and support the use of value messages by sales teams (10%)
Provide training in use of value messages, and develop support materials for NHS sales team
Support NHS sales teams in their dealings with key customer accounts, presenting information to customers when required

Input to strategic and operational plans (20%)
Within cross functional teams, identify the requirement for, and contribute to the development of Brand value claims
With Market Access team, anticipate requirements for submissions, plan and implement value arguments accordingly

Clearly communicate value messages to customers in a format which influences decision making (15%)
Maintain knowledge of NHS organisation and decision making, to identify opportunities for our Brands
Understand what constitutes value to our NHS customers and communicate value messages in formats which are understandable, and which aid decision-making
Publish results of systematic reviews in peer-reviewed journals

This is a home-based role but will involve travel on a local, regional and international scale as you help expand the brand new Health Economics & Reimbursement team within this international pharmaceutical business.

Our client is currently looking to grow their health economics and market access team and needs a manager with strong health economics and market access experience and industry contacts to provide guidance and strategy in implementing international solutions to internal clients.

In this role you will be working with key stakeholders to demonstrate the value of developed and developing products, which will rely on you to build strong relationships at a high level within the business. You will be expected to work closely with and build positive relationships with the Ministry of Health and other governmental and non-governmental agency personnel, HCP KOls and patient advocacy groups, on all issues relating to market access. These actions will result in the development of a positive corporate profile and ensure timely initial and maintained reimbursement of the company&#039;s products with public and private drug plans.  

You will be expected to have strong contacts with payers, physicians, pharmacists and patient groups and know who is the best local expert to bring onboard to support the business.

You will be expected to assist in the design, launch and market access of clinical and health economic studies. As part of your role you will also be expected to maintain awareness of the evolving Canadian and global healthcare markets and the needs of key decision-makers to inform development of pricing strategies. This will then involve responsibilities for developing claims and collection policies and managing accounts receivable to maximize reimbursement. You will be expected therefore to create a Market Access Plan for each product, including a comprehensive pricing, reimbursement and HTA stakeholder map as well as identify health economic data needed for future submissions to reimbursement agencies.

For this role you must have a Bachelor&#039;s degree or higher in life sciences, economics, governmental policy or related discipline with a minimum five years market access experience in the pharmaceutical industry. You should have an understanding of the reimbursement environment and the government/payer review process and excellent project management skills. You should have strong communication skills and the ability to formulate reimbursement policy strategy and implement these strategies to shape global coding, coverage and reimbursement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company which provides services to the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries as it expands its US operations, where you will be a key player. Opportunities for growth laterally and vertically are also available for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate for this role will have an in-depth knowledge of the Health Economics and Outcomes Research industry and will have a minimum of five years experience within a business development capacity.

In this role you will have responsibility for developing brand new leads as well as turning warm leads into guaranteed business. You will be expected to develop a business plan to maximize new business opportunities, undertake background research on target customers&#039; existing and future product portfolios as well as writing proposal in response to requests from customers. Additionally you will be charged with growing additional revenue within my client&#039;s existing customer base.

For this role you should have advanced account management or business development experience with a Bachelors degree in an appropriate discipline. Ideally you will have worked in a healthcare consultancy in a sales or business development role with 5+ years sales experience within the pharmaceutical industry and a proven track record of 3+ years promoting to US payers and market access customers. For this role it is also important to have a strong background in HEOR with a good understanding of modeling concepts.

<description><![CDATA[Leads implementation of all pricing and reimbursement efforts at a country level. Obtains price and reimbursement for new products according to the Business strategy and agreed objectives. Drives local projects to improve existing prices, reimbursement and access for all the company&#039;s products and devices in accordance with defined priorities. Works closely with the Market Access team to access and adapt value dossiers and to ensure alignment with the European strategy. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES	

* Maximise new product&#039;s pricing, reimbursement, and access 	
* Working in partnership with the Regional Market Access team, develop local pricing and reimbursement files (National & Regional) based on the core value dossier according to the country regulation and in line with the Business strategy and agreed objectives. 
* Source local data - for example resource units and costs, relevant to the collation of country dossiers and liaise with KOLs and external advisers at a country level to validate assumptions and perspectives.
* Actively contribute to Advisory Panels and other interactions which inform country understanding of P&R challenges relevant to the introduction of new products, or enhanced access to others.
* Working in partnership with Market Access and the RSS team, coordinate publications at a country level that support our P&R negotiations - for example Cost of Illness or Cost Effectiveness analyses.
* Develop consultative relationships with P&R advisers and stakeholders (as appropriate, per country regulations) and actively work to leverage the profile of the company&#039;s as a provider of innovative solutions.
* Identifies early national and regional authorities who have influence and/or interest to participate in pricing and reimbursement of new products.  Start jointly with country managers early dialogue with these bodies in order to identify their needs for an optimal price and reimbursement. Provide necessary support to reach this target.
* Manages generics introductions and impacts on the company&#039;s prices and reimbursements .
* Submit files to the local authorities and obtain timely price and reimbursement for the products.  
* Actively participate and provide support to the Country manager for the negotiation with the local pricing bodies. 
* Lead local pricing and reimbursement improvements	

Working closely with the BUD&#039;s and the Country Manager, identify pricing and reimbursement improvement opportunities for existing products at the country level. Develop all necessary activities to reach the targeted improvement.
Ensure that any bespoke requirements for supportive dossiers, analyses or information are coordinated effectively with the regional Market Access team

Coordination with EU  Market Access Team 	

* Work closely with the Market Access team to ensure understanding of the core value dossiers content and data and adaptation of this content to the country perspective - for example cost effectiveness analysis (CEA) and budget impact assessment (BIA). 
* Ensure alignment with the region strategies and priorities and provide input and understanding of local country regulations and requirements.
* Implement agreed regional priorities as adapted in country 

Local pricing and reimbursement regulation changes and information	

* Track all local administrative processes, regulation changes. 
* Seek information relating to pricing and reimbursement decisions which have a potential impact on the company&#039;s products. 
* Share all information with the local team and Market Access in a timely manner. 
* Provide training to RAM teams at a country level to maintain their knowledge of the P&R environment as it relates to their product areas of interest

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

Experienced professional with an excellent understanding of Health Economics, Market Access and/or Pricing and Reimbursement in the specified country.
Direct experience of developing National Market Access strategies for new products and new indications for the specified country
Direct experience of a hospital product launch in the specified country 
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers and stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
Strong commercial insight with pharmaceutical industry experience
Strong customer-facing experience (e.g. sales, key account management, commercial management, reimbursement and access management, scientific liaison)
Proven ability to identify opportunities and effectively develop and deploy solutions from concept to outcome
Demonstrable project management skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified to at least Degree level; preferably in Life Sciences,/Pharmacology/Biomedical etc.
Professional qualifications in one of the following areas would be desirable but not essential Health Economics; Health Policy; Healthcare Management, Business Management etc.

Analysts are regularly involved in outcomes research, economic analysis of the possible impact of health care interventions and the natural history of a disease. They provide high quality, timely solutions to meet our client needs. Assignments typically require problem solving, outcomes research and economic analysis, communication and dissemination of our findings.

Key responsibilities
Supported by experienced Health Economists and Consultants
Organize and conduct high quality primary and secondary research
Support the project team in developing and communicating health economic analyses or environment analyses to clients
Perform tasks according to skills and experience with support from senior health economists
-input to/develop health economic models and support materials
-input to/develop outcomes research projects and support materials e.g. protocolssupport systematic review and meta analysis projects

Qualifications

Responsibilities
Develop Pricing & Reimbursement strategy for major products/disease areas based on robust understanding of payers & their decision making systems to optimally capture the value of development product.
Assist subsidiaries with P&R issues and projects and create strategies that maximize the business and minimize any negative impacts.
Drive payer and pricing research.
Manage P&R projects for multiple major products or therapeutic areas.
Conduct payer focus groups and advisory boards (incl Drug Review Simulation) for selected products. 
Contribute to the market access strategy development and value dossier content. 
Align P&R activities with the market access strategy. 
Contribute to valuation assessments of BD opportunities and disease area profiles in terms of market access challenges. 
Manage project budget and timelines.

Qualifications
Previous healthcare experience is required (e.g. consulting, pharmaceutical, etc).
Fluency in a language other than English desired, but not required.
Excellent understanding of market access needs across key markets. 
Makes decisions by identifying innovative options and/or multiple solutions to complex problems. 
Makes decisions that involve coordinating strategies and projects for several products in a therapeutic area.]]></description>

Consultants are regularly involved in outcomes research, economic analysis of the possible impact of health care interventions and the natural history of a disease. With a diverse mix of clients, typically including the global top 20 pharmaceutical and biotech companies, our work spans the full spectrum of therapeutic and disease areas, providing challenge and variety for our people. A consultant typically provides high quality, timely solutions to meet our client needs. Assignments typically require problem solving, outcomes research and economic analysis, assisting in the development of more complex solutions to leading small teams and communication and dissemination of our findings. 

Key responsibilities
Supported by experienced Senior staff, reviews and analyses client requirements or problems in order to help develop proposals for cost-effective solutions
Organises and conduct high quality primary and secondary research for clients support from colleagues
Performs outcomes research, health economic analyses or environment analyses to assist in the identification of client issues 
Support specific business initiatives

Qualifications
A good grounding in health care research, economics, health economics, or a related discipline is essential - this may be through academic study or gained from on-the-job experience. An MSc/MPhil/PhD in economics/health economics health services research or a relevant related area is desirable.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Post graduate work experience in a related area such as economics, health economics, statistics, psychology or science
Experience of working in health economics/outcomes research/health services research.
Basic understanding of outcomes research and/or economic theory with preferably some applied experience
Good understanding of and interest in the international health care environment
Some commercial awareness - basic understanding of the health technology and pharmaceutical industry
Pragmatist with problem solving approach to projects
Able to deliver high quality work within timeline

Key Tasks:
Identify, evaluate, retain and oversee aglobal network consultants and contract organizations to execute the health outcomes work. In particular, representing the HE&OR function at team meetings, BU meetings, and meetings with senior management to ensuring provision of HE&OR outputs to support internal decision making during product development and commercialization to 
Produce high-quality project deliverables to agreed timelines and budgets 
Develop and maintain a strong network of professional contacts 
Produce cost effectiveness model-based economic evaluations, budget impact analyses and burden of illness studies 
Support adaptation of economic models in accordance with local requirements/guidelines 
Prepare economic and product value strategy dossiers 
Contribute to reimbursement and HTA submission documentation 
Perform prosepective or retrospective database analyses 
Provision of prompt health economic assessments to support decisions on possible in-licensing of products made jointly with Commercial, BU, and R&D colleagues 
To ensure development of programs to support value proposition(s) for product pipeline globally, including 
Contribute to the design, HE&OR endpoint selection, reporting and analysis of clinical studies 
Support scientific content output based on clinical studies ensuring publications support for HE&OR analyses for products where available 
Maintain awareness of global HEOR requirements, regulatory legislation, payor trends & requirements 
Research and perform critical analysis of medical and scientific evidence as the basis for disease management guidelines, P&T Committee actions, and pharmacoeconomic comparisons of therapies. 

Education and Experience Requirements 

Masters degree in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, decision sciences (or similar) with significant experience in global pharmaceutical or medical device industry or PhD in Health Economics, Pharmacoeconomics, decision sciences (or similar) with significant experience. Alternatively, significant experience interacting with Health Technology Assessment Agencies. Experience in interfacing with external scientific bodies & preference for experience with interactions with reimbursement agencies in US and/or Europe.]]></description>
